Same-Day Business Funding in California: How a Licensed Direct Lender Funds You in Hours
When you search "same-day business funding," you get a wall of lenders all claiming the same thing. Almost none of them tell you what "same-day" actually requires — or whether they're the lender or just a middleman selling your application to one.
Byzfunder is a direct lender licensed under the California Financing Law (License #6031098). We fund from our own balance sheet. The entity that reviews your file is the entity that wires the money. For clean files submitted early enough in the day, that wire goes out the same business day.
This guide is the honest version: how same-day funding works, what "clean file" means, and the exact documents that get you there.
What "Same-Day Funding" Actually Means
Same-day funding is not a marketing promise — it's an operational outcome that depends on three things lining up:
- A complete file. Every document we need, with no missing pages or mismatches.
- Submission early in the business day. Files submitted before roughly 11:00 AM PT have the runway to be underwritten, offered, signed, and wired before banking cutoff.
- A clean read. The bank statements support the advance without the issues that trigger a manual second look.
When those three line up, a same-day decision and same-day wire is standard — not exceptional. When they don't, an incomplete file isn't rejected; it gets a document request, which typically adds 24–48 hours. The delay is almost always file quality, not eligibility.
The 3 Documents That Get You Funded
Byzfunder underwrites primarily on business performance, not on credit score alone. The file is short on purpose:
- 3 months of business bank statements — the primary input. Underwriting reads deposit volume, deposit cadence, ending balances, and any NSF pattern.
- A voided business check — confirms the account that will receive funds and be debited for repayment.
- A government-issued photo ID — identity verification for the authorized owner.
That's the core file. Larger requests or specific file situations can prompt follow-up items, but three clean documents are what move a deal in hours. For the full walkthrough of what underwriting reads in each, see the 3-document checklist.
Do You Qualify? The Baseline
Byzfunder's published minimums are intentionally accessible, because we serve businesses that banks frequently turn away:
- 1+ year in business
- $20,000+ in monthly revenue
- 525+ FICO (revenue and bank-statement strength weigh more heavily than score — see no-credit-check business funding: the honest version)
- U.S.-based business
These are baseline minimums, not a guarantee — every approval is decided file-by-file. But the low FICO floor is deliberate. A 600-credit-score business owner with $40,000 a month in consistent deposits is a strong file to us, even when a bank's automated cutoff says no.
Why a California License Matters to You
Plenty of online lenders fund California businesses through a bank partner in another state, or as a marketplace that passes your application to whoever bids. Byzfunder holds its own California Financing Law license (#6031098) and lends directly.
Two things follow from that, and both favor you:
- One decision, one lender. Your application isn't shopped to a network. A Byzfunder underwriter reads your file and Byzfunder funds it.
- Disclosure, by law. Commercial financing offered to California borrowers is subject to California SB 1235, which requires a standardized cost disclosure — including an APR-equivalent — at the time of offer. You see the cost of the money before you commit to it. We treat that as the right way to do business, not a box to check.
The Two Products You Can Be Funded With
Byzfunder funds two working-capital products, both up to $500,000, both able to close same-day for clean files:
- Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) — a lump-sum advance against future receivables, repaid through a fixed daily or weekly ACH debit. Cost is a factor rate fixed at closing. Best for high-volume, daily-revenue businesses that need capital deployed immediately.
- ByzFlex — our proprietary line of credit. Draw what you need, repay monthly, and the credit becomes available again as you pay down. Best for businesses with lumpy or seasonal revenue that want flexibility.
Not sure which fits? Start the application — underwriting will recommend the structure that matches your file. The full breakdown is in MCA vs. Line of Credit.
How to Get Funded Today: The Steps
- Submit before ~11:00 AM PT with all three documents complete.
- Underwriting reads your file — for clean files, decisions come back in hours, often the same morning.
- Review your offer — including the SB 1235 cost disclosure for California deals.
- Sign the agreement electronically.
- Funds wire the same business day, ahead of banking cutoff.
The single biggest thing in your control is file quality. A complete, clean file submitted in the morning is what turns "same-day" from a slogan into a wire in your account.

Byzfunder is a California-licensed direct lender: California Financing Law License #6031098. Approved advance amounts, factor rates, APRs, and funding timelines vary by applicant file and are not guaranteed. Same-day funding applies to clean-file applicants whose complete documentation is submitted early enough in the business day to clear banking cutoffs; it is not promised for every applicant or every file. Stated minimums (time in business, monthly revenue, and FICO) are baseline eligibility criteria, not an approval guarantee; all financing is subject to underwriting on a file-by-file basis. All commercial financing offered to California borrowers is subject to California SB 1235 standardized disclosures, including an APR-equivalent disclosure at offer. Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) applies: we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, or any other protected characteristic.
